What is the InteracTrivia API?
The InteracTrivia API is a full-service platform for adding multiplayer trivia games to your web site. We make it easy to setup, add and edit content and integrate into your site.

Who can use your trivia platform?
You can integrate our platform into any public-facing web site. For corporate or intranet use, please choose our Enterprise / Custom plan at sign-up and we will contact you regarding integration and pricing.

Why do you seperate intranet / corporate use?
Simply put, corporate and intranet integration sometimes require specific setups (and possibly additional hardware) to overcome firewall and other technical issues. There is also typically additional support requirements for these customers.

Why do I need to get add your trivia games?
First, you need a web site and an account with us. Your web host can be any host that allows scripting (PHP, ASP, ASP.Net, ...) - most do. A database is not required as all data is stored by us and retrieved by you on demand. You will need to add a link (or pages) to launch the trivia game and a page to host the game client.

How long does it take to set up?
Sign up takes only a few minutes. We have demo sites with source code available to make integrating into your ASP.Net or PHP site a breeze. You'll want to add a minimum of 100 questions before launching.

How much does it cost?
Plans vary depending on needs. Our 'Basic Free' plan allows you to integrate into smaller sites for no charge - users will be shown ads on (and only on) the 'Basic Free' plan. Our pay plans vary depending on allowances. Click on Pricing for full details on the plans available.

How obnoxious are the ads in the Basic Free plan?
Not at all. We show very basic branding ads that take up a very small amount of the game client, in the lower-right of the screen. All ads are approved by us to maximize game integrity.

Can I wrap my own ads around the game client?
Yes. You may "decorate" the game client page however you choose.

What are the end-user requirements to play?
End users should have a high-speed internet connection and Macromedia Flash Player 7 (or higher) installed on their PC? Our client has been tested thoroughly using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6+, Mozilla Firefox 1.5+, and Safari on PC, Macintosh and Linux operating systems.

Do you offer game play on other devices?
We are experimenting with other devices at this time; including: smart phones, Tivo, Windows Vista Media Center, Pocket PC, iPhone and more.

Can I get a branded client for my site?

Can I buy questions from you?
Yes. We have an extensive question database available and access to quality question writers (contract and in-house). Please contact us with your requirements (categories, difficulty levels, quantity) for a quote. Questions typically take 7-10 days to create, depending on quantity, and cost 10 - 25 cents each, depending on quantity and exclusivity of use.
